Wesley Feer

I was born and raised in Chino Hills, CA. Growing up you could always find me doing something outside. I was always playing baseball at the neighbors yard, street hockey, flag football in the park, playing tag, basically anything competitive and fun. I played about every sport I could growing up. When I got to high school my focus was on football and soccer.

I was fortunate enough to go to college to play football. I was a kicker/punter for San Diego State. Those were some of the best times of my life.  That is where I met my amazing wife, Haley, and where we got our first dog, Brantley.

After college I really struggled to find an identity. I had gained about 50 pounds and was struggling with my health and fitness. Once my wife and I moved to Whatcom County, a lot of that changed. I thought I would give this CrossFit thing a try. My first day was a parter WOD, where josh and I got after it. I was hooked from day one.  I love the community and the feeling of being apart of a “team” again. CrossFit Iron Industry ended up being a place where I could have fun, compete and make friends while helping me reach my fitness goals.

I am still on my personal fitness journey myself. I still struggle with body image issues, but I am learning it’s more about how you feel about yourself rather than worrying about what others think. I have learned a lot these last 2 years here at CFII and want to help others find what fitness journey works for them.

My goal is to make the hour long class the best hour of everyone in the gyms day. CrossFit is about the community, and everyone getting after it together, competing and helping us all reach our goals!
